Katherine Heigl Launches Shopify Store To Support Animal Welfare

All proceeds from Heigl’s collection of clothing, accessories & home goods featuring her original art and designs will go toward the humane treatment of animals

LOS ANGELES – (March 23, 2023) Actress and animal activist Katherine Heigl announces the opening of Katherine Heigl’s ArtWare store on Shopify, offering collections of clothing and related merchandise featuring her original art. The store is part of Heigl’s ongoing mission to support animals in desperate need.

“Most people know me as an actress, but over the past six years, I’ve also been cultivating another creative passion—making art,” said Katherine. “My collection — what I like to call “art with heart” — reflects my deep devotion to animal well-being while offering products I hope people will love.”

To celebrate the launch of the store, Heigl will donate 100 percent of all first-year proceeds to the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation, a non-profit organization Katherine and her mother, Nancy, established in 2008 in loving memory of a beloved son and brother. Since its inception, the Foundation has given many millions of dollars to save shelter animals, sponsor spay/neuter activities, place animals in loving homes, and provide refuge for abused or neglected animals.

“Katherine’s Shopify store proceeds will support our ongoing efforts to help alleviate the cat and dog overpopulation problem, finance medical treatment and veterinary care, increase awareness of the inhumane treatment of animals, provide funding for grass roots rescue organizations, and much, much more,” explained Betty Paxton, foundation administrator. “She truly has created art with heart.”

About Jason Debus Heigl Foundation

Katherine Heigl and her mother Nancy co-founded the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation in 2008 in honor of her late, older brother. The foundation helps fund pet education programs, actively supports spay/neuter programs and pet adoption programs; and provides funding to help other rescue groups. It also funds and supports dog transport programs that transport dogs from local overcrowded Southern California shelters to both no-kill shelters and rescues in areas where there is greater demand for pets. To date, the foundation has helped countless animals in need by funding more than 25,000 spay/neuter surgeries; transporting over 8,000 animals out of high-kill shelters to areas where they are rapidly adopted; funding microchipping and vaccination programs; and supporting an overwhelming variety of adoption, training, and advocacy programs intently focused on improving the plight of our pets.
