During the interview, Katherine explained how she was drawn to the project. “What I really loved about the script, and ultimately what I am so proud of when I saw the movie, is that it gives you an opportunity to get inside this young woman’s head and see just how much of a burden living with something like schizophrenia or a mental illness to this degree would be.  I hope that audience members can walk away with a little more empathy and compassion, and those who suffer mental illnesses can walk away feeling less alone and able to be more open and honest about it, so that we can all support each other. I think there is just too much shame attached to mental illness.”

The cinematic release of Fear Of Rain was prevented by the COVID-19 pandemic, but the film is now available to buy on Blu-ray, DVD and on demand. Rated PG-13, special features on the home release include a conversational featurette called “Collective Fear” and several deleted  scenes.
