The final trailer for Katherine Heigl’s new Netflix series Firefly Lane was released on January 14. At two minutes long, the full length preview shows viewers glimpses of a story which follows the lives of best friends Tully Hart (Katherine Heigl) and Kate Mularkey (Sarah Chalke) over more than thirty years.
Based on the novel by Kristin Hannah, Firefly Lane will debut on Netflix worldwide next month, and explores the lives, relationships and bond between two friends as they evolve from high school teenagers in the 1970s to middle-age at the beginning of the new millennium.
The hair, makeup, fashion and music trends that were popular during the different eras of the story are reflected in both the Firefly Lane trailer and the new still images of the cast released by the streaming content platform.
The 10-episode hour-long show will premiere on February 3 and in addition to Heigl and Chalke, the supporting cast includes Ben Lawson (Ryan), Ali Skovbye (Young Tully), Roan Curtis (Young Kate), Yael Yurman (Marah), Beau Garrett (Cloud), Brendan Taylor (Mutt) and Jason McKinnon (Sean).
The adaptation was created by Maggie Friedman, who also serves as the Firefly Lane showrunner. It is also executive produced by Friedman, Katherine Heigl, Stephanie Germain, Shawn Williamson and Lee Rose, with Aaron Au as the producer.
